How many more lives have to be ruined before the system changes?
We will no longer tolerate the failures to children and families.
There is a culture in social care to highlight the negatives in order to support their theory and seek removal/Court Order, in this particular case there was focus on confirmation bias of false allegations.
This is a common practice in other local authorities also.
Despite all the discussion about strength based practice, Social Care practice, particularly in Children and Families is underpinned and driven by subjective opinions and prejudices of social workers and the knowledge that no matter how incompetent or corrupt there are virtually no consequences for them.

It's time to challenge the broken Social Services system and stop the cycle of ruined lives. The myth about lack of funding needs to be shown for what it is. Children in the care system are a vast resource for making money and their welfare is way down the list of priorities. At 18 no matter how badly they have been let down and how unprepared for adult life, they are removed from the childrens service with little to no support and transitioned to a life where they are helped mainly on how to use the benefits system.
Is it any wonder so many looked after children have such poor life outcomes ?
